Whenever I happen across something really cool I always hesitate to share it on the blog, like, because what if I’m the last guy to hear about this, and everyone else is all “Pffffff, that old thing?” Like I blogged about Wesley Willis on my last blog and a lot more people had heard about Wesley than I thought they would (but I turned a lot of mates onto him so that’s OK).
So anyway, I came across a little gem via Gpod (which is off line at the moment but that link is to the Google cache), from where I got directed to this WFMU page. Gimme Gimme Octopus is a Japanese childrens show (240+ episodes) that features a big red octopus and a peanut that are in love with the same walrus. Obviously the writers were serious drug heads. The characters and scenery are unreal, and the content has to be seen to be believed, especially the violence (stick on head sound effect = gold!).
